Voorstelling blog Koude Oorlog Mariniers

Met dit blog wil ik mijn verzameling van naoorlogse mariniers militaria delen met geïnteresseerden.
Dit blog legt de nadruk op velddienst uniformen en uitrustingsstukken van het Korps Mariniers van de naoorlogse periode tot 1990.

Alle foto's van uniformen en uitrustingsstukken zijn uit mijn privécollectie. Foto's en tekst van dit blog mag alleen worden gebruikt met bronvermelding: Verzameling http://johanskoudeoorlogmariniers.blogspot.nl/

Ik gebruik als vergelijkingsfoto's enkele foto's uit de Alle Hens of andere Mariniersliteratuur. Ik vermeld bij deze foto's de bron. Daarnaast komen er veel foto's van de prachtige site MaritiemDigitaal.nl, De foto's zijn van het mariniersmuseum, De meeste hebben een watermerk van het museum. Bij de foto's waarbij dat niet het geval is vermeld ik de bron. Mocht iemand bezwaar hebben tegen het plaatsen van een foto omdat hij herkenbaar in beeld is of om wat voor een reden dan ook, dan hoor ik dat graag. De foto zal dan verwijderd worden.

Mijn vader was Sergeant in de Mariniersbrigade bij de 1e Amfibische Tractor Compagnie en diende drie jaar in Nederlands-Indië. Hij was voorzitter van het COM in Limburg.

Door mijn vader heb ik uiteraard bewondering voor het Korps. Daarnaast interesseer ik me in de Koude Oorlog. Bezoek ook eens mijn andere blog http://johansddrmilitaria.blogspot.nl/

Dankwoord

Ik wil graag mijn ouders bedanken voor de ruimte die ze me gaven toen ik nog thuis woonde om mijn hobby uit te oefenen. Mijn vader inspireerde mij om Mariniers militaria te verzamelen. Van ex koude oorlog marinier Arthur Bierdrager heb ik veel tips en wetenswaardigheden over de uitrusting en draagwijze gekregen die zeer waardevol zijn. De meeste uitrustingsstukken op dit blog heb ik van hem gekocht. Ook Ronald W. wil ik hartelijk bedanken voor zijn tips. Ook wil ik Hein Sodeike bedanken voor zijn toestemming zijn interessante diensttijdfoto's te mogen gebruiken. Hij schreef een interessant boek over zijn belevenissen als Koude Oorlog marinier "Marinier zonder franje". verkrijgbaar bij Bol.com. Ook van hem kocht ik persoonlijke uitrustingsstukken.  Als laatste en zeker niet de minste wil ik mijn lieve vrouw Jolanda bedanken voor de ruimte die ze mij geeft om mijn hobby uit te oefenen. Een groot deel van de zolder gunt ze mij om mijn verzamelstukken op te slaan en tentoon te stellen.

Introduction Blog Johans Cold War Marines

With this blog I want to share my collection and research of post war militaria of the Royal Dutch Marine Corps. This blog emphasizes on the field uniforms and equipment of the Marines in the Cold War period until 1990.

All pictures of uniforms and equipment are from my private collection. Photographs and text of this blog may only be used with the mention of this source: Collection http://johanskoudeoorlogmariniers.blogspot.nl/

For comparison I use some pictures from “Alle Hens” and other Marines literature. I name the source of this pictures. Many pictures have been used from the beautiful site MaritiemDigitaal.nl, most pictures coming from the Marines museum in Rotterdam. Most pictures are watermarked with the logo of the museum. I will name the source at the pictures which are not watermarked. Should someone have problems with me publishing  a photograph please contact me, I will remove the picture.

My father was a sergeant with the Marinesbrigade with the first Amphibian tractor company and served three years in the Dutch-Indies. He was chairman of the Contact of Former Marines in the province of Limburg.

I try to display everything as realistic as possible. I am always open for constructive criticism.

A word of thanks 

I want to express my thanks to my parents for the space they gave me when I was living at home to express my hobby. My father inspired me to collect marines militaria. I got many valueable information about the equipment and how to carry form former Cold War marine Arthur Bierdrager. Most equipment on this blog I bought from him. I would also like to thank Ronald W. for his advice. I bought also personal equipment from him. I would also like to thank Hein Sodeike for his permission to use his interesting photographs from his service. He has written an interesting book about his time as cold war marine: "Marinier zonder franje".  Last but certainly not least I want to thank my sweet wife Jolanda for the space she gives me to express my hobby. She permits me to use the bigger part of the attic to store and exhibit my collection.
