Korps Mariniers 1984/85 Schotland/ Noorwegen,

Eerste Amfibische Gevechtsgroep. 

Het Korps Mariniers improviseerde veel in de jaren ’70 en ’80, waarbij ze veel uitrusting van andere Nato leden gebruikten.

Dit Britse driedelige DPM P68 Camouflage uniform heb ik rechtstreeks overgenomen van de drager, Marco M., in 1984/1985 een LCA  LCRM bestuurder en FALO schutter.

The Dutch Marines improvised a lot in the 1970's and 1980's, loaning many equipment from other  Nato members.

This British DPM Camouflage uniform, consisting of three parts I got from the wearer Marco M. directly, in 1984/1985 a LCA  LCRM driver and FALO gunner.

Het betreft een UZI schutter:

Een Britse winterpet wordt gedragen, alsmede thermosfles houder

De enige Nederlandse items die gedragen worden zijn de handschoenen, koppel en magazijntassen

A British wintercap is worn and a thermosflask carrier

The only Dutch items being worn are the gloves, belt and magazine pouches

De epaulettes zijn korporaalsrangen/ The epaulettes are for a corporal

Het Korps Mariniers improviseerde veel in de jaren ’70 en ’80, waarbij ze veel uitrusting van andere Nato leden gebruikten.

Hij draagt het volgende: 

Bontmuts van het Noorse leger, Artic Windproof Smock van de Britse Mariniers, vroeg model eind jaren 70, begin  jaren ’80. De broek is de “binnen broek” M78 van de KL, Bergan rugzak met slaapzak, thermos fles  met draagtas en ‘top socks’, alles van de Britse Mariniers. Het grondzeil is van de Amerikaanse  strijdkrachten. De bergschoenen zijn een civiel model. De sjaal is van de KL. 

Alleen de koppel, UZI magazijntassen, handschoenen en baret in zijn heup zak zijn echte Nederlandse Mariniers uitrustingsstukken. 

Op de borst draagt hij het SILVA Kompas.

Aangezien er veel met Britse Mariniers werd samengewerkt werd er veel Britse uitrusting gebruikt.

He is wearing: 

Winterfurhat from the Norwegian army, Artic Windproof smock from the British Marines, early pattern, late 70's early 80's. Trousers of the Royal Dutch Army, Bergan Rucksack with Sleeping bag, Thermos flask with cylindric carrying pouch and top socks, all British Marines/Army. The ground sheet is from the U.S. Army. Mountain bootsare civilian, the scarf is Royal Dutch Army.

Only the belt, UZI magazine pouches, gloves and the beret in his pocket are genuinly Dutch Marines issue.

On the breast he is wearing a Silva Compass. They often cooperated with the

British Marines, hence the use of many British equipment.
